World Church Executive Committee Votes to Postpone General Conference Session

The Executive Committee of the Seventh-day Adventist Church (EXCOM) voted March 19, to postpone the 2020 General Conference Session until May 2021. The vote comes after a March 17 recommendation from the General Conference Administrative Committee (ADCOM) to delay the 2020 General Conference Session (GC Session) by up to two years due to the rapid spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Communication Department holds workshop to advance the mission of Church Communication

The Communication department held its first Workshop for Communication persons across the Mission. The programme was held at the USC Tobago Campus on Sunday 2nd Feb 2020. Over 30 persons were in attendance and enjoyed engaging presentations from Pastor Toney Mapp, Kern St. Hillaire and the main Presenter. Mr Connell Hunte from USC's main campus. This was the first training programme by the Mission's new Communications Director, Sis Annette Lewis.

For some time, the Society of Biblical Literature has included a section at its annual sessions in which an older member reflects on how her or his thinking has evolved over the years under the title "How My Mind has Changed and Remained the Same." Now that I am officially eligible to retire (although I do not intend to do so anytime soon), I have been emboldened to use this genre to express some thoughts on biblical interpretation.
