Tobago Mission

Who We Are

The Tobago Mission is one of ten (10) Mission/Conference entities within the Caribbean Union, one of the 23 Union Conferences in the Inter-American Division, headquartered in Miami, United States of America.

This structure ensures an awesome support mechanism for the church’s work which includes education, member spiritual development, outreach and promoting religious liberty for all.

Our history

The work of the church in the twin-island republic of Trinidad and Tobago started in 1863 and grew until 2003 when Tobago separated from the South Caribbean Conference to form the Tobago Mission. The church has grown at a steady rate with 32 churches and a membership of over 8500. This means that one in eight persons in Tobago is a member of our church.

Our work – Education

The Adventist Church promotes education at all levels, from elementary and high schools and has the world's second-largest integrated network of schools. In our island, we offer both secondary and primary schools. In our sister, isle students can complete tertiary degrees at the church-owned University of the Southern Caribbean.

Our work – Health & Wellness

All our departments, schools and institutions have a singular goal: service to God and man. Need something targeted to Tobago.

Our work - Publishing

The publishing arm of the church ministers through the printed and sound media through the avenue of the IADPA book centre which not only sells books and music but also vegetarian health foods. If you are visiting the sunny isle of Tobago, visit one of our churches and enjoy the warmth of advent fellowship Tobago style!
